Best Buy wants to help students prepare for a brighter future, which starts with a college education. That’s why since 1999 Best Buy has awarded over $10 million in scholarships to more than 9,000 students. This year 1,500 students will be selected to receive awards of $1,500 each. An additional 51 students will receive awards of $10,000 each. At Best Buy, we believe what students learn inside and outside of the classroom are equally important, which is why the Best Buy Scholarship Program rewards students for their volunteer efforts and work experience in addition to academic achievements.
Qualified applicants must:
- be a graduating high school senior living in the United States or Puerto Rico.
- live within 75 miles of a Best Buy Store in the United States or Puerto Rico.
- have a minimum cumulative high school grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (or an equivalent).
- demonstrate commitment to and involvement in volunteer community service or work experience.
- plan to enroll in a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school in the United States or Puerto Rico no later than fall 2008.
